Stay warm on this cold crisp day with a deliciously rich spiced hot chocolate, a perfect pick me up on a cold day.

3 cups of milk
150g chopped dark chocolate
1 cinnamon stick
1 long red chilli (cut into thirds)
Whipped cream to serve
Ground cinnamon to serve
Begin with heating the milk, chilli and cinnamon stick in a saucepan over a medium-high heat for approx 6-8 minutes or until boiling. To let the milk infuse with the chilli set aside for 10 minutes.
Strain the milk mixture into a clean saucepan, discarding the solids. Over a medium heat, start to heat up the milk for approx. 3-4 minutes or until hot, but not boiling. Now reduce the heat to low and add in the chocolate, whisking until you have a smooth mixture.
Pour into 2 glasses or mugs and top with whipped cream and sprinkle over some ground cinnamon to finish it off.
