Montpellier Retro Fridge Freezers featured in the Great British Bake Off!

Montpellier fridge freezers are in the Bake Off tent!

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Montpellier Domestic Appliances will be appearing in the upcoming series of The Great British Bake Off, with our much-loved retro fridge freezers taking centre stage in the iconic Bake Off tent.

Our Retro models will feature throughout the new series, bringing a splash of Montpellier colour and character to one of Britain’s most recognisable television sets.

For us, it’s a particularly exciting moment because retro fridge freezers have become part of the Bake Off story over the years. The show has featured a number of different makes and models since it first hit our screens, with its colourful, 1950s-inspired refrigerators becoming almost as recognisable as some of the bakes themselves.

The Bake Off refrigerators have traditionally been chosen for their distinctive retro styling, with previous generations including Smeg, Gorenje and Servis models. That makes seeing Montpellier join that history even more special.

Our own retro range has been designed with exactly that combination of classic style and modern practicality in mind. Inspired by the unmistakable curves and character of the 1950s, our fridge freezers add a real sense of personality to a kitchen, while offering the features and everyday practicality you’d expect from a modern appliance.

Our retro models are available in a selection of colours, including cream, blue, black and red. The MAB190 range combines its retro styling with a generous 295-litre capacity, No Frost Multi Cooling Technology, adjustable glass shelves and a 4-star freezer compartment.

The colours are equally at home in a traditional kitchen as well as is in a contemporary space but also brings a little personality without being too bold. It’s that ability to combine style, colour and practicality that has made our retro refrigeration range such a popular part of the Montpellier family.

And now, our fridge freezers are getting the chance to play their part in one of the UK’s biggest baking shows.

As a British appliance brand, it’s a real milestone for Montpellier and something the whole team is incredibly proud of. We’ve always believed that appliances can be practical without being boring, and seeing our colourful retro designs in the Bake Off tent is a brilliant reflection of that.

So, as the new series gets underway, keep an eye out for a familiar splash of Montpellier cream and pastel blue alongside the cakes, pastries and inevitable technical challenges.

We can’t wait to see our fridge freezers in the tent – and we’re very proud to be part of the Bake Off story.
