Fundraising inspiration for Children In Need

img_2344

Children in need are a fantastic charity that provides financial aid to UK projects that support disadvantaged young people. Each year the public supports and engages with the charity helping to raise awareness by organising their own fundraising campaigns.

If you are looking to get involved ready for next year then here are a few fundraising ideas to get the ball rolling.

One of the most popular fundraising ideas is a bake sale. You could organise a local bake sale in your community and even turn it into a bake off. Get someone to judge who makes the best cup cakes or biscuits and the winning entry could then be auctioned off.

Arranging a fancy dress day at work is a simple but fun way to get involved. Just think of a theme to base the fancy dress on and get colleagues to donate if they dress up.

For anyone who is adventurous you could set yourself an adrenalin filled challenge, such as sky diving, bungee jumping or white water rafting. Or you can set this as a conquer your fear challenge. Either way you can ask your family, fiends and colleagues to sponsor you. To reach further afield you can use a fundraising site such as ‘go fund me’.

Another great idea for bringing a community together for a good cause can be to organise a quiz night. Ask for a donation to participate and you could also incorporate a raffle into the evening.

These are some of our favourite ideas but for my ideas and ways to get involved you can visit the official BBC Children In Need page.
